Peace for the New Year
Peace for the New Year
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God ;on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I trust!”
Psalms 91:1-2
After the holidays sometimes it is hard to get back into school, jobs or even life. At the beginning of each year we make resolutions that we are trying not to break and we want to take advantage of the chance to start anew. Well, what better way to start the year than with peace. If we just took time to enjoy life and weren’t so stressed out all of the time maybe we could accomplish the goals we set for ourselves. In Psalms 91 verses 1-2 we see that the key is trusting God so that we can lean on Him. If you do not trust someone you are not going to fall into their arms. We must first trust God so that we can lean on and take refuge in Him. Once you have given God your worries and trust Him with them you will find peace. Today lay down everything at the feet of the Lord and trust Him with them. Don’t look back just leave everything at the feet of the king and then know that everything in your life will be stable through God so you can have peace.
